About
Eva Marina Burckhardt is a Swiss and Venezuelan Illustrator born in the Caribbean, where she learned to swim in the ocean. She later moved to Zurich to continue her studies and graduated from the Institute for Color Design "Haus der Farbe" as a color designer HF. She furthered her education in Berlin and completed her degree in illustration design, making the vibrant city her home and creative base.
As a Freelance illustrator, Eva's portfolio includes a variety of projects ranging from editorial work to book covers, with her more recent work focusing on the captivating world of picture books. With her passion for storytelling and evoking emotion through her images, she focuses on creating illustrations that bring narratives to life and engage the viewer on a deeper level.
Mixing colors and discovering the perfect palette combinations brings a smile to her face, as does drawing plants and animals and filling as many sketchbooks as possible.
